A few words from our president
Since 1976, Saint Joseph’s Medical Center has been a leader in providing a comprehensive array of elder care services to meet the needs of the senior population.
In addition to meeting seniors' acute care needs in our hospital's designated Geriatric Care Unit, Saint Joseph’s also offers several out-patient programs designed to keep individuals functioning well at home. We offer Medical and Social Day Care Programs, physical and occupational therapy and also provide home care services to over 400 seniors in Westchester County through our Long Term Home Health Care Program. Our 200-bed nursing home, "Saint Joseph’s Hospital Nursing Home/Sister Mary Linehan Pavilion" has been the flagship of a full continuum of care for older people that includes a specialized Alzheimer’s Unit as well as a designated Short-Term Rehabilitation Unit.
Saint Joseph’s Medical Center is also proud to announce the development of "Griffin House,” an affordable 81-unit senior housing complex funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and "Seton Manor," an 83-unit complex. Due to their close proximity, residents of the two modern, attractive buildings will have easy access to the full resources of Saint Joseph's Medical Center, including diagnostic testing, Emergency Room and Home Health Care.
At Saint Joseph's, our ultimate goal is to provide a meaningful quality of life for all of our nursing home residents and to offer the support necessary to help the frail elderly or disabled adults remain in the comfort of their own homes whenever possible. Please don’t hesitate to call me if I can be of assistance to you or your family.
Michael J. Spicer, F.A.C.H.E.
