Visits from family and friends are important to patients. Our Visitors’ Policy
is designed to provide comfort and cheer to patients, while allowing them the
time and rest they need to recover.
Waiting Room and Lounges
A visitors’ waiting room is located on the lobby level across from the
Ambulatory Surgery Unit. There are also waiting and meeting rooms for you and
your visitors on nursing floors 3, 4, and 5. There is a quiet room on the 7th
floor, near the Intensive and Intermediate Care Units.
Please be Considerate
Please be considerate of your fellow patients’ need for privacy and quiet,
especially in the use of phones, televisions and number of visitors.
Communication
Especially for patients in the Intensive or Intermediate Care Units, please designate
one person as a communication link between the family and the patient’s
doctor or nurse.
Security
For your safety and security, patients and visitors may be asked for identification.
We also reserve the right to inspect packages on entry and exit.
Visitors’ Passes
All visitors must stop at the front desk in the lobby for a pass and sign the
visitors’ log. Passes must be returned to the desk when visitors leave,
and must be carried with them if they use hospital facilities such as the cafeteria
or telephones.

Intensive & Intermediate Care Units:
9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Note: Patients may have two visitors at a time. Due to the special care in
these units, we encourage short visits. We do, however, make every effort to
balance the needs of patients and family members.
Pediatrics
Parents may visit any time. A sleeping chair is available for
patients of small children who wish to spend the night with their child. Other
visitors are welcome during regular visiting hours.
Inpatient Psychiatry
Family and friends may visit with the permission of the patient’s
physician

Saturday, Sunday & Holidays:
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Due to the hospital environment, we ask that visitors be limited to two at
a time and that children under 10 not visit. We do, however, made every effort
to balance the needs of patient care and visiting family members.
Cafeteria
Our cafeteria, located on the second floor of the hospital, serves
a wide variety of hot and cold foods, including a daily soup kettle and salad
bar, for the convenience of our medical staff, employees and visitors. All
visitors must carry their passes when they use the cafeteria. Visitors are
reminded that food should not be brought to patients. Hours are:
Monday-Friday
Breakfast
7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Lunch
11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Coffee & Snacks
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The cafeteria is not open on weekends.
Visitors may also purchase beverages and snacks from vending machines located
in the cafeteria foyer and near the cashier on the hospital lobby level.
Gift Shop
A Gift Shop is located off the Main Lobby of the hospital. Visitors
will find an assortment of greeting cards, reading material, personal grooming
necessities, snacks and gift ideas.
Gift Shop Hours
Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Parking
Parking is available for an hourly fee in the hospital garage on Vark
Street across from the Main Entrance to the hospital. For your safety and convenience,
the garage features an enclosed pedestrian walkway across Vark Street. Handicapped
parking is available.
Pastoral Care
Our Pastoral Care Staff are available seven days a week from 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and are on call 24-hours a day for spiritual and emotional
support and guidance for patients of all religions and their families. Upon
request, our Pastoral Care Staff will also contact a patient’s own clergy,
who is welcome to visit.
Chapel
A Chapel for prayer, quiet meditation and reflection is located on
the First Floor of the hospital. The Chapel is open 24 hours a day.
An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is located in the Main Lobby for the banking
convenience of visitors.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any hospital facility.
