Help Support Our Healthcare Heroes
The City of Yonkers has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and Saint Joseph's Medical Center has been inundated with COVID-19 patients, who currently make up 98% of our current census. The need to add nearly 100 patient beds in response to the Governor's request, as well as erect a screening tent to serve as an extension of our Emergency Room, is severely straining our finances, supplies and staff to their limits.
As a result, Saint Joseph’s has established an emergency fund which will provide critical support to the hospital throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This emergency fund will be directed toward operational expenses and staff support as well personal protection (PPE) and medical equipment.
You can show your gratitude for our heroic staff, who are literally risking their own lives to treat patients, by making a donation to the Saint Joseph's Medical Center COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund. Your donation will enable our frontline clinical staff to sustain their resilience and continue to provide safe, high-quality care to our patients and community.
As the last Catholic hospital in all of New York City and Westchester County, we take seriously our mission and commitment to the care and safety of our patients, our staff and our community, and we are working diligently to best meet their needs throughout this unprecedented crisis. We hope we can count on you to join us in the battle against this life-threatening pandemic by making a gift today. All of us at Saint Joseph's Medical Center--especially our frontline workers--are eternally grateful for your generosity and support during this critical time.
