NYS RN License
Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience required
Master’s Degree in Healthcare specialty preferred but not required.
Under the direction of the Vice President for Quality and Risk Management, the Director of Quality Improvement is responsible for implementing the organization’s Performance Improvement plan and priorities consistent with regulatory standards and evidence based best practices. As a member of the leadership team, serves as a role model and leader to colleagues and staff throughout the organization. Promotes a culture that is positive, that values individual strengths, and is committed to optimal patient care, and compliance with regulatory standards. This position is responsible for direct supervision of the Quality Analyst. This position has a dual responsibility in supporting the nursing department in establishing and sustaining processes to clearly measure and improve nursing outcome measures. As part of facilitating organizational change, this role leads change with nursing practice and organizational processes in a collaborative way involving organizational leaders and clinical staff. This position works in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer to establish the Nursing Quality Improvement Plan consistent with the organization wide Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Plan.
